What is Nippon Sanso Matheson’s view on carbon neutrality?

Nippon Sanso Matheson believes that carbon neutrality is one of the most important industrial challenges and opportunities of our time. As part of the Nippon Sanso Holdings Group, we are committed to helping industries reduce carbon emissions through innovative gas technologies, process optimization, and sustainable energy solutions. Our approach focuses on creating practical pathways to decarbonization that balance environmental goals with operational performance and economic viability. We support customers through technologies including advanced combustion systems, hydrogen solutions, carbon capture and recovery, resource recycling, and process efficiency improvements. By combining engineering expertise with industrial gas innovation, Nippon Sanso Matheson helps manufacturers accelerate their transition toward a lower-carbon future. This commitment aligns with our broader vision of creating social value through innovative gas solutions that enhance productivity and contribute to a more sustainable world.

Does Nippon Sanso Matheson offer low carbon intensity industrial gas solutions?

Yes. A low carbon index (or low carbon intensity) gas is a gas whose production, transportation, and use result in lower lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions than conventional alternatives. The term is typically tied to a Carbon Intensity (CI) score, which measures the amount of CO₂-equivalent emissions generated per unit of energy or product across its entire lifecycle.
For industrial gases, the concept can include:
– Low-carbon hydrogen produced with carbon capture, renewable electricity, or low-emission feedstocks.
– Renewable natural gas (RNG) derived from organic waste streams.
– Carbon-captured or recycled CO₂ used in industrial applications.

Nippon Sanso Matheson offers a range of technologies and industrial gas solutions designed to help customers lower emissions and reduce the carbon intensity of their operations. Our capabilities include low-carbon and hydrogen-based process solutions, oxy-combustion technologies that improve fuel efficiency, carbon dioxide recovery systems, gas recycling technologies, and onsite gas generation systems. We work with customers across industries such as steel, glass, chemicals, energy, refining, and manufacturing to identify opportunities for operational decarbonization. Our engineering teams evaluate each application to determine the most effective combination of gases, equipment, and process improvements. The result is a customized solution that can improve productivity while supporting sustainability and carbon reduction objectives.
